LLEWELYNJones’ late try completed a remarkable comeback from Ealing as they edged a thriller against a fired-up Bedford to further consolidate second place.
The Blues led for almost the entirety of the contest at Goldington Road, building up a big lead with some excellent attacking rugby before producing an admirable rearguard effort.
Despite not being at their best, Trailfinders refused to give in, although they did survive a lastgasp drop-goal attempt by Will Hooley which allowed them to hang on to Bristol’s coattails.
