A FEW weeks ago, this top-of-the-table clash looked almost certain to be a dress rehearsal for the Championship playoff final.
But while runaway leaders London Irish continue to march on unbeaten, Yorkshire Carnegie’s place in the top two – and a favourable home semi-final – is not looking quite so assured.
Back-to-back defeats to Cornish Pirates and Jersey have given Doncaster an outside chance of catching their county rivals.
