RICHMOND ended the season in champion style with a six-try victory, but Blackheath pushed them hard and thoroughly deserved the four-try bonus point scored in the 78th minute.
In front of a crowd of nearly 2,000, the oldest club fixture in the world was vigorously contested.
Blackheath opened the scoring when Archie Holland battered his way over after a penalty.
Tom Ffitch and Callum Grieve missed just one conversion each.
