Rotherham took full advantage of poor conditions, favouring their forward-orientated game to beat a Stortford side that struggled to come near to the heights of last week’s win at Rams.
The home side nevertheless took the lead with a goal by Mike Cooke from the only scrum penalty to go their way.
Stortford had the better of subsequent exchanges and spurned a couple of good try-scoring opportunities, but stretched their lead with Austin Pope dodging over out wide.
