RAMS’ title hopes took a major blow as brilliant Bishop’s Stortford picked up a first win in nine games between the two sides as they triumphed 34-25 at Old Bath Road, with Mike Cooke proving an inspirational figure.
The hosts started superbly as Rowan Grundy crossed on the left, only for their opponents to take control using their formidable rolling maul, Isaac Bell going over first before skipper Will Rogers repeated the trick, Cooke converted both for a 14-5lead.
