RICHMOND maintained their impressive start to the season with a thumping home win to add to two away wins.

By contrast, fought hard in a well-contested first half, but conceded five second-half tries to suffer their third-straight loss.

Richmond got the opening try with a powerful forward drive from the line-out. DMP, who edged territory in the first half hour, countered with a neatly worked try by full-back Josh Ree.

However, the game turned when Richmond added two late first-half tries. The first followed another mighty drive by the forwards, while the second came from a break down the left wing, completed by Paddy Case with some neat footwork.

With the wind in their favour, Richmond dominated the second half, mostly parked around the DMP 22. Enjoying a stream of possession and a dominant penalty count, Richmond soon added their bonus-point try, a fine charge down by man of the match Lucas Schmid. They might have scored more with more accurate handling, but settled for eight tries against a DMP side depleted by injury and two yellow cards. Rhett Butler and Frank MacMillan claimed two tries each.
