Club hold their nerve to edge out battling hosts

BLACKHEATH emerged from a tense encounter to claim a vital victory over Cinderford at the Beavis Memorial Ground.
The opening exchanges were well contested, but, following a series of pick-and-go moves, visiting prop Andrew Boye forced his way in for the opening score, which Tom Ffitch converted.
The game continued to be a tactical affair, with plenty of kicking out of hand, before Joe Winfield was on target for the home team with a penalty to make it 7-3 and there was no further score before halftime.
