Plymouth Albion took the honours in a hard-fought contest to secure the west country derby bragging rights.
Albion grabbed the opening try after Jack Oulton tapped a quick penalty and linked with George Mills to score close to the posts. Putt converted.
Albion’s line-out worked well, and a powerful drive from the Albion pack enabled Salter to touch down, with Putt converting again.
An extended first half ended with sustained Taunton pressure and Knott drove over in the last play and, with a Worboys conversion, it was 14-7 at the break...
