Cambridge survived a late scare at The Rock as Rosslyn Park missed a penalty chance to snatch a dramatic win.
The first significant moment came after 25 minutes, when Park captain Dan Laventure saw yellow for sticking a hand out as he tried an interception.
Cambridge chose to scrum from the penalty and ran a set-piece move to send Joe Tarrant over in the corner. Cambridge doubled the lead when they set up a driving maul that made easy work of the Park pack.
