CINDERFORD surrendered top spot as they went down to their first home defeat of the season against Sale FC.
The two sides went toe to toe for the first 40 minutes and went in at the break with Cinderford leading 8-7.
Michael Wilcox crossed for a try in the fifth minute and Reece Boughton added a penalty for Cinderford.
Sale responded when James Robins’ darting run was finished off by prop Cal Ford. Robins converted.
