CAMBRIDGE’S long cross-country trek to Devon was handsomely rewarded with a fully deserved victory over Plymouth Albion.
The Cambridge victory was built around a superb defensive performance and it was a real accolade to keep their hosts scoreless.
The teams were unable to create a great deal in attack, but the difference was that Cambridge were clinical, while Plymouth continually shot themselves in the foot. On six occasions, Plymouth kicked for the corner when awarded a penalty, only to lose the line-out.
