MATT Hema’s 12th try of the season snatched victory from the jaws of defeat for Cambridge in the last play of a pulsating second half at Grantchester Road.
Andrew Henderson had put the Blood & Sand ahead two minutes into the proceedings, while Ben Penfold converted on his 100th appearance.
But Canterbury spent much of the match belying their league position and trying to gain revenge for their defeat in the reverse fixture.
Cambridge could have had two or three more tries at least ahead of the break but had to settle for one.
