RAMS withstood Chinnor’s second-half comeback to overcome their local rivals on a pulsating evening.
The Oxfordshire side hosted their first Friday night National League fixture and came close to pulling off a late victory over their second-placed visitors.
Chinnor started well and took the lead on seven minutes through Laurence May’s penalty.
The hosts, roared on by a bumper crowd, were in control for the opening ten minutes, but could not add to their 3-0 lead.
