TOM LEWIS crossed for a double as Bishop’s Stortford dispatched Canterbury with a minimum of fuss.
The first half hour was attritional, with Canterbury aggressive in defence, limiting Stortford to a penalty goal from Tom Banks.
As half-time approached, though, two successive penalties against the visitors took Stortford well inside Canterbury’s 22 and, although a number of forward drives were held out, quick ball to the right saw Mike Ayrton over for a try, converted by Banks.
