LED by outstanding backrowers Buster Lawrence and Morgan Monks, Birmingham Moseley fought to victory over Canterbury. But the visitors went desperately close to breaking their National One duck after recovering from a 25- 0 deficit and a seven-minute spell with 13 players through tries from Sam Sterling, Sam Kenny and Tyler Oliver plus three Harvey Young conversions.
Moseley’s tries, all before the break, were claimed by James Tideswell, Aaron Crofts and Aquile Smith, while fly-half Ben Palmer kicked ten points.
