MARK Robinson will take over from Steve Tew as New Zealand Rugby chief executive, with a coaching replacement for Steve Hansen his first port of call.
The former All Black, New Zealand Rugby director, World Rugby councillor and businessman will take up the role in January 2020.
He will replace Tew, who took over following the 2007 World Cup in France, and led New Zealand to a period of success which included two World Cups.
“We are delighted that Mark has put his hand up for this role,” New Zealand Rugby chairman Brent Impey said.
