IT WAS a case of men vs boys as league leaders Ampthill ended their hoodoo of never winning at the Darlington Arena with a trademark five-try physical performance.
The Bedfordshire side coupled their forward dominance with some class from the backs to capitalise on Mowden Park’s firsthalf errors.
They led 28-0 after 26 minutes and went on to secure a ninth win on the trot since losing to Esher at the start of January – setting up a tantalising tie next week with promotion hunters Rosslyn Park.
