ESHER held on with 13 men for the final five minutes to complete a backs-against-the-wall victory over Caldy.
Cameron Gentles was carded for a high tackle with nine minutes remaining and then Max Berry was added to the sin bin for a side entry.
But it was replacement Calum Waters, darting brilliantly through the inside of the Caldy defence, who made the difference on 64 minutes.
Esher led at the break but found themselves trailing with half an hour to go.
Caldy bundled forward from a line-out on five metres and Nyle Davidson was able to score his second try of the match.
