Drama aplenty as Esher edge thriller

TWO tries each for Kariym Irving and Chris Arnold ensured Esher edged out Ampthill at Molesey Road in a highscoring affair.
The hosts were rampant for large parts of the first half but Joe Bercis’ hat-trick left just a point in it.
Ampthill asserted early pressure and took the lead through former Esher man Spencer Sutherland.
The following 20 minutes belonged to the hosts as scores from Devlin Hope, Irving, Tom James and two tries from Arnold put them into a 35-5 lead.
