AMPTHILL overcame a slow start to get the better of Chinnor in crisp conditions.
The visitors had made the perfect start when full-back Kieran Goss touched down for an unconverted try after just two minutes, followed by centre Alex Dancer taking a ball off first phase to slice through the A’s defence.
A’s knuckled down and came back into the game on ten minutes with a trademark catch and drive from Aleki Lutui, James Pritchard converting from wide out.
