FOR the second season running, this fixture was settled by a last-ditch penalty as Laurence Rayner scored from the 22 to steal victory for Cambridge against Bishop’s Stortford.
Rayner was wayward off the tee from 40 metres three minutes in, but made amends three minutes later.
In return Dan Elsom nudged Stortford ahead, going over in the corner, with Manu Vunipola hitting the upright with the conversion.
Another Rayner penalty came back off the post, but Kwaku Asieudu gathered gratefully to scamper over for the lead.
