A SPIRITED performance by Fylde, particularly in a second half where they limited a previously rampant Blackheath to just two tries and had the hosts under pressure at times, was ultimately in vain.
The result confirms their relegation after seven successive seasons in National League One.
The damage was effectively done early on.
Led by the excellent Tom Stradwick at blindside, Blackheath dominated the set-piece, Joe Tarrant slipping across for the first score as Club opted for the scrum after Fylde went offside under their posts....
