IAN Madigan is backing lightning-quick Bristol team-mate Matt Protheroe for big things.
After starring for England at age grade level, the Wales-born prodigy is set to ignite a tug of war between the Red Rose and the country of his birth in the near future.
“Matt is one of the best movers I’ve seen,” said Madigan, the 31 times capped Ireland international, who was used to having the likes of Brian O’Driscoll, Johnny Sexton, Gordon D’Arcy and Rob Kearney around him in his Leinster days.
