DARLINGTON MOWDEN PARK earned their second five-point victory of the season, whilst Ionians will have to wait another week, at least, before they record any league points following a disappointing performance against the North East men.
It was plain fayre served up by both sides. The wet conditions early in the match made handling difficult and contributed to the high number of errors but the standard barely improved when the pitch dried out.
Park had the edge in the forwards and at half-back, which they used to telling effect.
