Ionians seal their survival with a stunning final day victory

NO calculators were needed as Hull Ionians deservedly won this game and with it cemented their National League One status.
The win put an end to Blaydon’s brave late season fightback, which ended in relegation at the hands of Old Albanian.
It all started pretty comfortably for Darlington as first full-back Jamie Bernard crossed on five minutes, followed by a strong run by wing Shaun McCartney who dived in the corner for the second.
Both were converted by fly half Garry Law.
