HERTFORDleapfrogged Southend Saxons to go top of the table with a convincing 36-17 victory.
Michael Allen dotted down twice, Jack Elston and Sean Taylor, who also kicked four conversions and a penalty, were the other try scorers for the visitors with George Woods, and Bert Radzevicius over for the Saxons, both converted by Adam Dobson who also kicked a penalty.
