DINGS Crusaders took an early advantage in their bid for the South West Premier title by beating promotion rivals Newton Abbot 43-22.
The two sides had taken maximum points from their opening four games coming into the tie.
Tries from Marion Dorsett, Jake Holcombe, Ally Duddell, Steve Plummer, Marcus Brooker, Luke Arscott and Harry Tovey helped them to victory.
In reply, Jarryd Harris scored a brace for Newton Abbot with Max Snowdon scoring the other.
