IN A TENSE and always exciting encounter at Marl Pits, visitors Sheffield came back from 31-18 down with two late converted tries to snatch the honours.
Sheffield opened with a penalty from Joe Cridley but a break by Curtis Strong and from slick handling across the backline James Bramhall was on hand to send Leyton Taylor in for Rossendale.
With the Rossendale pack in control Alex Isherwood was driven over for the second but with half time approaching Cridley slotted a second penalty.
