DING Crusaders took a giant step towards claiming second place and a spot in the promotion play-offs as they beat Hornets 44-22 and rivals Camborne and Ivybridge both lost.
Ding were always in control, leading 29-10 at half-time, and went on to complete a comfortable bonus-point victory and now only need a single win to secure second.
Camborne meanwhile suffered an afternoon to forget at Brixham, going down 38-14, tries from Dave McGregor, Dom Connor and Sam Thomas putting the hosts 24-0 up at the interval.
