CAMBORNE needed a five-point win and hoped Clifton got nothing against Exeter Uni to win the league – but it was not to be.
Much of the early running was made by the visitors, enjoying long spells in the Macc half, but the last pass seemed to evade them and meant there was no score until the 26th minute when Sam Adu broke through for the home side and James Oliver couldn’t fail.
