CHARLIE CARTER’S late penalty snatched victory for the Hornets at Scotland Lane to stun Old Redcliffians.
Fly-half Ash Groves’s early penalty had put the Old Reds three up but Hornets roared back with an attacking maul that ended with Joachim Hulliah crossing; Carter converted.
Old Reds’ problems increased when captain Dan Thurston was yellow carded for repeated home indiscipline. Francis rubbed salt in the wounds by scoring, Carter again adding the extras.
