OLD REDCLIFFIANS and Macclesfield played out a ding-dong contest at Scotland Lane with the Reds triumphing by two points.
Reds forwards set up Archie Maggs for the opening try after nine minutes.
Tom Fear’s sin-bin put Macclesfield on the front foot and Harry Hughes scored an equalising try.
But after Harry Harding of Macclesfield saw yellow, the teams swapped tries, Jonathan Cook for the Reds and Sam Adu for Macclesefield. Tom Farrell’s conversion gave the visitors the lead.
