Priddey hat-trick sinks the visitors

BEN PRIDDEY grabbed a hat-trick of tries as Camborne secured a 41-19 victory over Hinckley.

Josh Matevesi opened the scoring for Camborne with a try in the sixth minute.

Hinckley responded with two converted tries from Sam Read and Ben Pointon in the 30th and 32nd minutes respectively, both converted by Callum Dacey.

Priddey then scored two tries in quick succession, after 34 and 37 minutes, with Kyle Moyle converting the first. This gave Camborne a 19-14 lead at half-time.

In the second half, the reliable Moyle extended Camborne’s lead with a penalty in the 46th minute.

Moyle then scored and converted his own try in the 55th minute.

Priddey completed his hat-trick with a try on the hour-mark. Jack Ramshaw scored a consolation try for Hinckley in the 72nd minute.

Tommy-Lee Southworth rounded off the scoring for Camborne with a try in the minute, converted by Moyle.

Although Priddey claimed a treble, it was teammate Matevesi who was named the star man for an excellent all-round performance, while Moyle contributed 16 points with one try, four conversions and one penalty.
