AN ABSORBING, high-scoring encounter at Scotland Lane went the way of the hosts, Cinderford’s late surge running out of time – but ensuring the visitors left with a losing bonus point.
The hosts were excellent value for their 2814 half-time lead, their attack clearly having utilised ample time on the training field over pre-season.
Lewis Oakley slid in for their opener in the corner, and he was followed over the tryline not long later by debutant Lionel Appleton from close range.
