Vowles hat-trick in vain in thriller

HINCKLEY and Luctonians played out a hugely entertaining end of season game in front of a bumper Leicester Road crowd.
Hinckley took the lead when a smartly taken tap and go from Henry Higginson allowed him to feed the returning Rory Vowles after eight minutes. Vowles kicked the conversion and then added a penalty.
However, some poor home discipline gave the visitors field position and, as they have shown all season, they finished well from short range through captain Joe White.
