HOOKER Sol Moody bagged a first-half brace as Exeter University recovered to beat basement side Newport (Salop).
Only two points split the sides in their most recent meeting last November. Here, Exeter fell behind inside eight minutes as Newport winger, Charlie Gamble galloped over, fly-half, George Castledine missing the conversion.
Nine minutes later, Moody rumbled across the line, Jack Park’s conversion also off-target.
