LUCTONIANS came out on top in what proved an entertaining and ultra-competitive game of rugby.
Redruth’s Dan Rutter opened the scoring with a 19th-minute penalty.
But Lucs hit back when two delicate kickthroughs from Tom Jones put star man Josh Watkins over for Louis Silver to convert.
Caleb Montgomery crashed over for the second, before the swift dancing feet of Josh Watkins helped him double his try tally, with Silver’s conversions making it 21-3 at the break.
