Chester.............. 18
Bournville.......... 8
A DOMINANT firsthalf display laid the foundations for a Chester victory as they kept Bournville at arm’s length.
The home side began brightly, applying pressure to the Bournville line, but, apart from a couple of early penalties from wing James Preston, had little to show for it after the first quarter.
Then, after 26 minutes, George Baxter broke right from a retreating scrum in the visitors’ 22. After a couple of phases from the forwards, centre Ben Ivory crashed over for a converted try.
