Groves glee after decisive penalty

A TENSE local derby went the way of Old Redcliffians, but only after a gripping 80 minutes against Clifton.
The visitors started brightly, Redcliffians’ defence soaking up everything thrown at them in an equally bright response.
As is often the case in tight tussles, the game needed a try and it duly arrived courtesy of Will Owen, who got on the end of an incisive Zakaria Hamid line break.
Redcliffians warmed to their task offensively, striking back with an extravagant finish from captain Dan Thurston.
