Loughborough edged an absolute thriller over Dings in front of 500 fans on their annual ‘dads and lads’ day.
The task at hand for Dings was seemingly dealt with after the opening half an hour as they raced into a 26-5 lead, two Harry Ascherl tries, a penalty try and a George Charnock score following Charles Cadogan’s opener for the hosts.
Resilience from the Students was demonstrated towards the end of the half as they twice went the length of the field, with scrum-half Jonny Mason scoring the pick of the bunch to end a lively half...
