Despite the RFU restructure of the National Leagues to reduce travel, Redruth head coach Nigel Hambly is bemused by the teams in this year’s National 2 West and has questioned the integrity of the league.
The Cornish face 10- hour round trips for numerous matches and Hambly is frustrated. He said: “The amount of travelling from last season has reduced but we still have to do a lot and there’s teams that shouldn’t be in National 2 West. We’ve been to Hinckley, got to go to Loughborough, the next trip is Luctonians. I can’t see how these sides fit into the west section, it’s all a bit strange...
