Good Evans! win battle for Billingham survival

BATTLING Billingham boosted their survival hopes with a hard-fought win over the Tigers side in a dramatic encounter that went right down to the wire, with a late Peter Evans penalty the difference.
The Tigers roared out of the blocks with early dominance, using their pack to punch holes in the Billingham defence.
Their pressure paid off when prop Nicholas Bingham crashed over for the opening try, converted by William Baker. The fly-half added a penalty soon after to give the visitors a 0-10 lead.
