FYLDE deservedly won this war of the Roses, becoming only the third team to do the double over Dale.
Wharfedale started strongly, with an Elliot Stockton drive finished off by Omari Kaup-Samuels, who converted.
Fylde countered when star man David Fair-brother burst into Dale’s 22 and fed Cory Bowker for an unconverted try, before they extended their lead with a try from Sam Stott, converted by Alex Clayton.
Kaup-Samuels landed a penalty and then Fylde ran in another try through Toby Harrison.
