HULL IONIANS’ extended losing streak was made to look like a distant memory after Lewis Minikin’s breakaway try early in the second-half gave his side their second win on the bounce.
On a dour afternoon in South Yorkshire, a nip-and-tuck first period saw the sides locked at 17-17 at the break. But as the conditions worsened and play became mired in midfield, the Tigers were unable to make inroads and Minikin was the only points scorer of the second-half.
