THE crowd at a damp and cold Apollo Capital stadium were rewarded with a narrow win for the hosts over a determined Fylde team who lead several times.
The visitors struck first with a Smith try after six minutes, converted by Atherton.
Harrogate responded quickly through Dobson, and Metcalf converted to level at 7-7.
Rudkin put Fylde back in front with a try and conversion, but the host’s Tomalin scored an unconverted try to narrow the gap to 12-14 at half-time.
