Masterly Minikin destroys Hoppers

HULL Ionians bounced back from two defeats in a row to blow away Preston Grasshoppers at Lightfoot Green.
The windy conditions made it a nightmare at times, but this didn’t stop the Ionians running in five tries.
The visitors opened the scoring in the third minute when Sam Pocklington found a gap in the Grasshoppers defence to score. Outside centre Liam Minikin added the extras.
After 20 minutes Ionian’s No.8 George Mew-burn broke through the Hoppers line for their second try.
