SHEFFIELD Tigers got their ninth bonus point after the Yorkshire derby ended in a draw, with the visitors’ James Norman proving the star pf the show.
But it was the home side who struck first as Rhys Green charged through to set up Joe Potter to score within a minute, with Joe Rowntree adding the conversion.
Then after a turnover in the Sheffield half, Norman scored having followed through on Mark Ireland‘s kick.
Otley extended their lead after an outrageous dummy by Eddie Crossland outside the opposition 22 gave him the space to make it to the line.
Sheffield brought the score within two after a many-phased move ended with a cross-field kick and Louis Redfern touching down in the corner.
In the second half Tigers had the ascendency, especially in the scrum, although against the run of play Rowntree added a penalty.
Norman got Tigers’ second on the hour af-ter a scrum in Otley’s 22 when the ball was worked into the left-hand corner.
Five minutes later Dan Hawksworth got a yellow for a high tackle, the ball going into the corner. Sam Hodge did the hard yards, and Green fin-ished off the move. Tigers continued to press and, after two line-outs following penalties, their pack drove over, with Will Archer scoring and Ireland landing his second conve
