HULL won a hard fought game which was a tribute to their great defence and the ability to create tryscoring opportunities.

Hull took the lead with a Fynlay Hobson penalty, before Sam Crane released Peter Hudson-Kowalceiz to run 50 yards and feed Adam Brankley to score.

Fylde responded with a try from Mike Walton midway through the half, converted by Patrick Bishop.

But Hull responded after 33 minutes when, after a break by centre Bureta Faraimo was ruled to have been held up over the line, they won a and Brankley drove over to score his second unconverted try to make it 13-7 at the break.

The game restarted much like the first half, with Hobson kicking an early penalty.

Fylde the hit back as Jordan Dorrington raced through near the posts for a try converted by Bishop.

After 53 minutes Fylde took the lead when Peter Altham scored a try converted by Bishop, putting Fylde in the lead at 2116.

But Hull weren’t done. After making tactical switches, a break from just inside Hull’s half saw Hudson-Kowalewicz race away before releasing star man Faraimo who crashed over near the posts, with Hobson converting to seal the win after 63 minutes.
