AFTER a bright start which saw them race into a 12-0 lead, Tynedale crashed to another heavy home defeat. which left them bottom.

Fylde ran in seven tries with a spectacular display of strong running an quick thinking and sure handling

The Corbridge faithful dared to hope when a try from skipper Chris Wearmouth from a forward drive was followed by an excellent score from Alex Dryden for a 12-0 lead with just 15 minutes gone.

But Fylde soon hit back with two tries from exciting Freddie Reader flanking a fine score under the posts from Alex Gaughan.

And on the stroke of half-time, Patrick Bishop got the bonus-point try, which he converted himself to add to his two previous conversions.

The half-time score of 24-12 was stretched to 31-12 when Matthew Ashcroft crashed over from a tap penalty, and another sweeping handling move brought a try under the posts for Peter Altham.

Tynedale stopped the rot when a strong line out drive brought a try for replacement Louis Frankland, but another quick penalty saw Toby Harrison cross for Fylde’s seventh try.

A second Frankland score earned Tynedale a losing-bonus point
