FYLDE head coach Chris Briers paid tribute to the grit and determination of his side as they hung on for their third win on the bounce at the expense of Sheffield Tigers.
In a highly entertaining game which saw the sides locked at 26-26 midway through the second period, a late try from wingman Ben Turner was enough to see off a spirited Sheffield Tigers who pushed hard right to the final whistle but still remain winless.
And it was his players’ ability to see out the game that impressed Briers.
